Frequently asked questions
Are your capsules and pods recyclable?
Our pods are easily recyclable with our partner, Podback! Learn more.
Will my Nespresso® machine warranty be lost if I use any not original Nespresso® capsules?
No, the manufacturer's warranty is not related to the use of any specific capsule, so your Nespresso machine warranty remains completely unaffected. Our Gimoka Nespresso compatible capsules® will not damage your machine or affect the warranty.
How do I make the best espresso?
Coffee is sensitive to big changes in temperature, so you should start the coffee ritual by warming your small cup.
Some machines have a cup warmer otherwise you can fill the cup with hot water from the coffee machine and wait few minutes until it get warm.
Follow the usual procedure to insert your capsules in the machine and fill circa two thirds of the small cup (40ml) until the blond stream dissolves and starts changing from foam into liquid.
The whole extraction process should take about 20 – 25 seconds.
If you want to enjoy a long espresso, add hot water separately. To make a double espresso use two Gimoka capsules one after the other to get the proper strength for a double espresso.
My coffee machine's lever is a bit firmer to close when I use Gimoka capsules. Why?
That is completely normal with some coffee machine models. We use a recyclable plastic, a material which is a bit stronger than Nespresso® aluminium capsules, which will therefore result in a bit more effort to close your lever.
Is it normal if my coffee gets very thin and drips during extraction?
Yes, this is absolutely normal. Gimoka artisans use finely-ground coffee to achieve the optimal extraction of the coffee aromas. Please read our capsule and pod system section for further information.
What payment types do you accept?
We accept PayPal and all major credit and debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit, Debit MasterCard, Electron, Maestro, American Express. Please contact us for any other questions you may have.
